This log line just means something tried and failed to connect
via ssl protocol, It is quite safe to ignore.

Nah, it's still doing it. It's found
in the msg log: ssl 92.118.38.83 unknown <unknown> 0
unknown "SSL error gave up after 11 seconds (28 attempts)
SSL_reading"
and in the smtp log:
21 09:19:02.00:2866427648: smtp: ssl failed SSL error gave up
after 11 seconds (28 attempts) SSL_reading (from IP
92.118.38.83)
21 09:19:02.00:2866427648: smtp: Closing connection
92.118.38.83, task took 11 seconds
Couple of thousand times a day.
I tried blocking the IP and blocking the SMTP IP with no joy.
