Scalability

SurgeMail has been designed from scratch with performance in mind. This means you can usually host your entire system with many thousands of users and domains on a single SurgeMail mirrored pair giving you instant online failover, load sharing if needed, and a simple management and configuration interface.  The key to success is to identify bottlenecks.  In general ensure you are using a fast SSD disk array as using old mechanical disks is most often the cause of performance issues.

In rare situations, you may wish to use a Proxy array or Shared Storage array, and SurgeMail will allow these if needed.
