aliases in both those versions are in the file domuser.dat in the 
surgemail home folder, check that file matches and contains the missing 
aliases on both systems ?

Also check /etc/aliases and for alias settings in surgemail.ini pointing 
at other files.  Maybe you had some other type of alias setup....
