No, sure you can manually check the config file, but it should actually have corrected the paths itself.   Fix if needed or if you want to move something to another drive maybe..., then continue with the resync commands.

OK, so after the initial tellmail resync_config, then would the idea be to manually edit the .ini file on the new system and update all the paths, then continue with the rest of the resync commands?
