Aliases (symbolic links, virtual directories) can be defined to map different users to different areas with read or write access. For example you might create a sub directory /upload that users can store files in or /shared where users can exchange files.

Notices

The Surge-FTP Server allows you to create and notices to help users using the server.
Notices are messages the user sees when logging into the ftp server or when changing into specific directories. The web interface allows the login message to be defined, and simply creating a file called '.message' in a directory will result in it being shown when the user enters that directory.

Flexible User Authentication
