Yes, you can move those and change the settings, make sure file ownership stays as user 'mail'

Can the mailbox directory be moved? Can I move /var/surgemail/wilkes.com to /home/surgemail/wilkes.com if I change g_mailbox_path to “/home/surgemail” and mailbox_path to “/home/surgemail/wilkes.com”?
