Ah yes... 

CalDAV has been updated to use a more modern version of SabreDAV and PHP. It indeed uses the surgemail/phplib/netwin_v2 and surgemail/phplib/sabredav_3.2.2 (and on windows surgemail/php_7.3.18) folders instead of the older surgemail/phplib/netwin and surgemail/phplib/sabredav (and on windows surgemail/php)  folders

Unfortunately the CardDAV as it is not that commonly used, did not get the same treatment yet. I have been meaning to update the scripts and implement a database upgrade feature for carddav too the same way as was implemented for caldav.

As it stands if you continue to use v1 of the calendar implementation (older sabredav and older php) carddav will continue to work.  If you switch to version 2 (newer sabredav and newer php) carddav will no longer work.

I will aim to have updated implementation to get carddav working with v2 later this week.
